Natural Indigestion Remedies

Natural Indigestion RemedyWell, that’s Christmas day done for another year! We hope that you all had an absolutely fantastic time and enjoyed time with family, friends and loved ones. We suspect that there may be some of you out there that will have over-indulged during the festivities, and as a result may be suffering from some indigestion. If so, then take a look at some of our favourite natural remedies that may be just what you need to ease your discomfort…and make some room for another mince pie, turkey sandwich or chocolate!

Peppermint
Peppermint has been found to prevent nausea and soothe intestinal muscle spasms and discomfort. We love this Health & Heather White Tea with Peppermint, which also contains…

Fennel
Fennel is said to act as a carminative which means that – like peppermint – it can help to ease muscle spasms, as well as aid the body in expelling gas.

Licorice Root
This coats the lining of the stomach, so can work wonders in easing discomfort and eliminating stomach upsets. We recommend this QI Organic Green Tea with Ginko – as well as containing licorice root it also contains both of the above – peppermint and fennel – so it’s a triple-pronged attack on indigestion!
